About The Authors

Fay A. Rozovsky, J.D., M.P.H., DFASHRM, is an Affiliate Associate Professor in the Department of Legal Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She has extensive experience in developing risk management-oriented policies, procedures, tools and other documentation for hospitals, health care professionals, home health agencies, long-term care facilities and managed care organizations. Ms. Rozovsky is a former President of ASHRM and a well-published author.

Jane L. Conley, M.S. has worked in the healthcare risk management field for over 25 years. The majority of her career was spent in the professional liability insurance industry, developing and implementing risk management programs and tools for physician practices. She has authored and co-authored several home-study Continuing Medical Education courses on loss prevention, a myriad of articles on medical-legal topics and several loss prevention newsletters. She is a longtime member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the American Medical Writers Association, and a member of the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics. As a risk management consultant, she provides practice risk assessments and educational programs for physicians and their staffs.
